Cutting-edge geometry

FreudYou have a lot of new cutting choices from Freud America. At the 2014 IWF show in Atlanta, the company officially launched the next generation of its Premier Fusion blades with new, advanced Fusion Trio tooth design. The geometry is a special grind for the top, sides and face of each blade tooth. The blades are made from TiCo Hi-Density Carbide for a sharper edge and longer cutting life. They also have a non-stick coating that reduces drag. The 10-inch Premier Fusion blades will cut laminates, melamine, veneered plywood, hardwoods, softwoods and thick stock lumber. The company says they are ideal for crosscuts of 3/8- to 3-1/2 inches, and for ripping boards ⅜-inch to 1-1/2 inches thick. Freud says these new Premier Fusions are its most technologically advanced general-purpose saw blades.
