Pulling out with a three-count

WI061400023_Irwin impact screw extractorIrwin Tools has launched a new line of extractors that can help with the frustration of bolts and screws that get damaged when you’re ripping out an old kitchen or installing a new custom one. The company says removing damaged screws and small bolts with a single bit is easy using its new SCREW-GRIP Impact Performance Series Extractors. Screw removal involves just three steps: drill, flip the bit and extract the screw. In a product release, Irwin says the drill end starts quickly with minimal walking, and the serrated extractor end provides increased torque for pulling out hard-to-extract screws. The bits are made from M2 high-speed steel and are extra-hardened for longer life with impact drivers, Irwin says.
