Industry gets social

Aug. 20 saw the first Wood Industry Social Network gathering, held in Burlington, Ont.

WISnet meetup croppedSome industry members talked about motivating workers with a martial arts pro, others shared ice bucket challenge video, all enjoyed meeting colleagues in a friendly setting. The Network is an experimental effort to build industry connections, sponsored by FPInnovations and organized by Alain Albert. More meet-ups are planned for the third Wednesday of each month, and Albert hopes WISnet groups will grow beyond southern Ontario. Join the group at


  1. Thank you very much for sending to me your WOOD Industry magazine through internet. This is a very appreciated gesture. Being a low vision man, it allows me using the ZOOM TEXT logicial to know everything happening to the Wood Industry from A to Z.
