The seminar is being jointly presented by the Ontario chapter of the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada (AWMAC) and the Toronto Construction Association (TCA).
Guest speaker Michael Swartz, a partner at the law Toronto firm WeirFoulds LLP, will be giving an overview of this Act that is unique to the construction industry.
His presentation will cover the Act’s purpose; timing, limitation and holdback of liens; trusts and how they differ from liens; personal liability; and breaches of trust. This important seminar is the final AWMAC event of 2014.
